Hike  

 

 

 

Discover this little village, with its earthen homes, traditional fortified storehouse and bucolic panorama of barley fields and almond trees. Located in a remote valley weaving through the limestone plains above Irocha, Ait Oaziz has retained allits ancient Berber authenticity. The hike starts up the mountain from Irocha, following a mule path for 30 minutes, to the plateau above, with its panoramic view of the Tisselday valley. Walking across the plain, you will reach a downward slope into a dry riverbed, and finally the village of AitOaziz. There, you can stop for a picnic or a home-cooked taginein a home, and take a walk through the village. To get home, we will either go back the way we came orkeep going and return through the Glaoui’s Kasbah, with its garden and mountain spring.
With a picnic or home-cooked tagine (reservation required) 30 € per person, including a complimentary bottle of water Please don’t forget a hat.
